Stef Kamil Carlens first appeared on the radar of the press and public in 1993 with the EPs Zea by dEUS and Jintro Travels the Word in a Skirt by his own project, A Beatband (later Moondog Jr., and eventually Zita Swoon). Thirty years later, he is completing his twentieth album in his own studio, The Rabbit Field, near Antwerp, and has performed hundreds of live shows both domestically and internationally. His style is unique: ranging from raw blues and playful theatricality to heartfelt melancholy and super-funky escapades. As an artist, Carlens is impossible to pigeonhole. He is a singer, musician, composer, producer, theater maker, designer, and visual artist.

Since 2017, Stef Kamil Carlens has been performing under his own name. The songs from two studio albums, combined with a selection from his extensive repertoire, are presented with his five-piece band.
